Non-Restricted course material includes:


  • the evolution of firearms, major parts, types, and actions;

  • basic firearms safety practices;

  • ammunition;

  • operating firearm actions;

  • safe handling and carry procedures;

  • firing techniques and procedures;

  • care of non-restricted firearms;

  • responsibilities of the firearms owner/user; and,

  • safe storage, display, transportation and handling of non-restricted firearms.

Restricted course material includes:


  • the evolution of firearms, major parts, types, and actions;

  • basic firearms safety practices;

  • ammunition;

  • operating handgun actions;

  • firing techniques and procedures for handguns;

  • care of restricted firearms;

  • responsibilities of the firearms owner/user; and

  • safe storage, display, transportation and handling of restricted firearms.

A refund will be given up to 10 days after purchase but before the start of the course. No refunds will be given for missed courses. Full payment is required to book your space in the course. Each course will be has limited capacity, so book in advance to save your spot. This course may be canceled if less than 3 people have signed up 10 days before the course. Failure of the Non-Restricted test will prevent you from testing for the restricted testing and you will be asked to re-test for a fee. Re-tests will be offered within 7 days.

The CFSC/CRFSC Student Hand Book can be found here! Please download it and familiarize your self with it prior to the course. You do not need to print it.
